Occupying a commanding elevated location, Villa Amana offers magnificent ocean views and a backdrop of deeply forested hills. Large, airy, elegant rooms, a terrific swimming pool, and the choice of outdoor or indoor air-conditioned living make this a one-of-a-kind villa. With ten bedrooms, it is also one of the largest villas at Tryall.

Built in a striking colonial style with white-rendered walls, the villa is on two levels offering large rooms and a backdrop of tropical hillside forest. To the front, the commanding ocean view is truly spectacular and because of the elevation, at certain times of the day, the curvature of the earth can be seen. The large circular courtyard entrance to the villa is backed by a spectacular hillside garden with a lovely water feature that cascades down.

The bedrooms are large offering air conditioning as well as ceiling fans. Most are designed to maximize the spectacular views with huge windows and private balconies. En suite marble bathrooms with travertine floors accompany each bedroom with the master bathroom being clad in a beautiful white marble. All of the bedrooms are furnished with beautiful Jamaican mahogany four-poster beds. There are eight bedrooms in the core of the villa; two upstairs including the master and six downstairs. A further two bedrooms – both with king beds – are in the west wing; one upstairs and one downstairs. Throughout, the white walls are accented with beautiful fabrics from Nina Campbell, Schumacher, Brunschwig, and Fils.

The main balcony of the villa easily accommodates 50 people for a cocktail party and is the natural lounging, entertaining, and dining spot. A combination of modern rattan furniture and white upholstered sofas and armchairs invites relaxation and the mahogany dining table can seat 20 guests. The formal, air-conditioned dining room can seat 20 guests at the bench-made mahogany table with elegant pineapple-back dining chairs. There are spectacular views out to sea as well as across the swimming pool and to the hills beyond.

The large and exceptionally high-ceiling sitting room has three wide and tall openings onto the veranda bringing the stunning view of the ocean inside. These openings can be closed allowing the room to be air-conditioned if so wished. Comfort prevails with conversational groupings of large sofas and armchairs. There is also a grand piano which adds panache to cocktail hour. On the lower floor of the villa is a business office which is well-equipped with a computer, fax machine, and printer.

Outside is a superb infinity pool with a poolside bar overlooking the sea with deep rattan pool chairs and plenty of umbrellas. A dedicated children’s playground with swings, a slide as well as a basketball court is always a hit with youngsters as is the pool table located on an upper veranda. Opposite the playground is a very well-equipped private gym.

The Tryall Club Membership 

A significant amenity for guests in this villa is membership at the excellent Tryall Club.  On 2,200 acres, Tryall’s golf course is among the most beautiful in the world.  It's 18 hillside and seaside fairways have been home to the Johnnie Walker, Mazda, and other PGA championship events.  The resident pro offers workshops and private lessons.   The Tryall tennis club features 4 Agile Turf courts and 5 Nova Cushion courts, some lit for night play, with world-class pros on call.  All white attire is required. 

The beach is well-planned for parents and children. Have lunch at the beach bar.  Work out in the well-equipped gym and compete in the Usain Bolt Games Room at the Great House (teens love it).  Jog the marked trails. Snorkeling, kayaking, Hobie Cat, and sunfish are complimentary.  Glass bottom boats, charter fishing, a boat to the reef, and any captained craft attract various fees.  Enjoy weekly events like a complimentary Manager’s Cocktail Party on Mondays, as well as Beach BBQ and Reggae Night beach parties for an additional fee.

*Tryall Club Temporary Membership Dues

The Tryall Club is a private club where members may use most facilities at no charge except for the tennis shop, ball boys, bar & restaurant, spa, motorized watersports, nanny services, and golf.  Complimentary amenities include the beach, non-motorized watersports, tennis, the fitness room, the Hummingbird Kids Club, Great House afternoon tea, the Manager's Cocktail Party, and various special events.

The Tryall Club requires all villa and condo guests to become members during their stay via a Temporary Membership Dues cost of US$170 (plus a 15% service charge) per week for each guest 16 years and over, or US$34 (plus a 15% service charge) per day per person for stays of less than 7 days. Children between the ages of 13 and 15 are at a discounted rate of 50% plus a 15% service charge. For children 12 years and younger, the Temporary Membership Dues are complimentary.  

Plan to pay your TMD fee at the Front Desk in the Great House when you register (see below).

Please note: There may be occasions when some or all the facilities for the hotel may be closed for membership guest services due to a private hotel event. The Tryall Club reserves the right to change or alter its membership packages with no advance notice.

REGISTRATION

When your driver brings you to Tryall, you will check in at the front desk.  You will be asked for your passport as a means of identification.  You will sign a waiver & need to provide a driving license for the use of the complimentary golf carts provided at the villa as well as any additional golf carts you may wish to rent.

The Tryall Club can set up an account for your stay.  A credit card is required at check-in and a credit hold will be placed until check-out for budgetary items & signing privileges (i.e., groceries, restaurant dining, golf, and activities).  The calculated amount for the credit hold is approximately US$150 per bedroom per night.  If you plan to make payment for your Folio Account in cash, they will request a cash deposit.  If you plan to make payment by credit card, they will place a hold on your credit card. 

The Tryall Club will charge your credit card or take a cash payment for the Temporary Membership Dues of US$170 (plus a 15% service charge) per person per week for each guest 16 years and over, or US$34 (plus 15% service charge) per person per day for stays of less than 7 days; a discount of 50% (plus the 15% service charge) applies to children who are ages 13-15 years old.  Children 12 years and younger are complimentary.  

Golf Cart Waiver & Indemnification

If you would like to use the golf carts supplied by the villa, you will be asked to sign a golf cart damage waiver form on arrival.

You agree to always operate the golf cart in a safe and courteous manner at The Tryall Club. You agree to be responsible for any or all damages and replacement costs if you use the golf cart during your stay.  You also agree to the following rules:

• Golf Cart Operator must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Golf Carts must be operated properly. Horseplay, racing, or other misuse of the golf cart will not be tolerated.  Golf Carts must remain within the gates of the resort and are not permitted outside the gates.
• Passengers must always be seated when the cart is in motion. Feet/legs, arms, and the entire body must remain inside the cart.
• Report any malfunctions or cart problems to management immediately.
