The region was devastated by an earthquake in 1693, and the cities in Val di Noto were rebuilt in the Baroque style, creating a unique and harmonious architectural landscape. For its natural beauty, this area has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore the charming cities of Noto, Scicli, Modica and Ragusa, which are all considered to be some of the best examples of Baroque architecture in the world.

For generations, the locals have exploited the potential of the territory transforming the uncultivated land into a fertile and luxuriant area, largely dedicated to greenhouse farming. Enjoy the panoramic pool deck while relaxing under the Sicilian sun and find shelter from the heat under a shaded patio next to the kitchen, also the perfect spot for eating al fresco while grilling on the barbeque. The large pool guarantees hours of enjoyment, with its crystal blue water glittering in the sun.

Villa Soltinta is only a 10-minute drive from Marina di Ragusa – guests truly enjoy the long sandy beaches, palm-lined streets, and a delightful square where you can stop for ice cream. For the children as well as the adults in your group, this will easily become a daily ritual. The most famous towns and sites of this area such as Scicli, Ragusa, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, and Marzamemi, are all easy to reach and make memorable daytrips. The Vendicari Natural Reserve is also worth a visit.
